THE LAST SIP

The Last Sip is centered on the theme of parting and aims to evoke the viewer's deepest memories and resonate with their own past experiences through the poetic visualization of the emotion of parting. The use of paper straws, a seemingly ordinary material, as the medium of the work contains subtle and multi-layered emotional symbols and reflects the reluctance of people to put down their cups and prepare to leave, as if the sound of the straws inhaling the drink at the end is the condensation of this emotion. This sound is not only an ending ritual, but also symbolizes a psychological resistance to leaving. Suspended in mid-air, the installation not only evokes a sense of floating, but also symbolizes the propagation of sound through the air, creating a deeper interaction between the visual and auditory senses. The installation seeks to capture the unseen dimensions of human emotion in subtle moments, redefining the artistic connection between often-overlooked sounds and the nuanced emotional landscapes they inhabit.
