RHYTHM OF GRIDS
2023
During over five hours of observation, attention sharpened to the surrounding visuals, capturing an array of images through video recordings and screenshots spanning physical and digital realms. This process revealed itself as an act of documentation rather than selection, prioritizing everything visible to the naked eye, even when certain images failed to resonate. A natural gravitation toward bright or light tones emerged, underscoring how education, cultural background, and sensory conditioning inform what is perceived and recorded. The inherent impossibility of capturing every image in its entirety brought to light the fragmented nature of perception, where gaps—defined by human limitations—become a compelling site for investigating observation, memory, and visual culture.
